What to do?

DELETE THIS SCAM MESSAGE,

Then READ THIS: Recognize and avoid phishing messages, phony support calls, and other scams - Apple Support

Longer answer:

Delete this junk.

The scammers are trying to hack you, and to hack your trust, and in this case to hack your fears.

You fear malware. Fear is a powerful motivator.

Fear will get us to perform all softs of bad and self-defeating things.

Again, they’re not trying to hack your devices, they’re trying to get you to hack your devices for them.

Most folks are hacked not with sophisticated hacks, but by giving up their passwords, their access, and by installing junk apps.

For cases such as this, most folks get hacked by looking for free and easy solutions to non-issues.

Can you help

Your iPhone is infected with one million viruses. ONE MILLION VIRUSES. You must send me all of your money. All of it. Once you send me all of your money, you will receive a special app that will remove exactly one million viruses. Exactly ONE MILLION VIRUSES will be removed. Then you must send me more money every month, or I will send you a new mail message telling you that you will have ONE BILLION VIRUSES. Then you’ll need extra-special software app to remove the ONE BILLION VIRUSES. Oh, wait, my bad, you have ONE TRILLION VIRUSES, and need the double-secret app to remove that, and the double-secret app costs extra.

The above is only a slight exaggeration around what is happening here.

In short...

You’re getting lied to.

Remote folks cannot run a virus scan.

If the folks could remotely scan your iPhone, they’d just upload all of your data and be done with it.

You yourself are getting hacked. You. Not your iPhone. You. You are well along to getting scammed.

If a website could theoretically access deep enough into your iPhone or iPad to run a malware scan—access well past what installed iPhone apps are permitted, BTW—it’d be feasible for scammers to just upload all of your entire device contents, or quite possibly worse. Websites just can’t make arbitrary access into your device. Not without a serious breach of iOS or iPadOS security.

Yes, there is iPhone and iPad malware. It’s quite rare, though. Various of that malware is based on or similar to the aforementioned jailbreaks, too. Avoid those.
