File Copying from iMac to MacBook Pro
A little confusion on terminology. I want to 'copy' some files on my iMac to my MacBook. If files are transferred from my iMac to my MacBook Pro will those files still be on my iMac when done?

Yes, you copy them using an external drive, or connect both to the same network and just transfer files from one to the other, or do a time machine backup and transfer to the MacBook. In any case, your files will still be on the iMac.
