Changing Bluetooth device name

I don’t see the option to change my device name - I read an earlier post or instructions on the apple support site but don’t see that option on my iPhone X.

Turn on the device and go to Settings/Bluetooth and verify that it says “Connected”. Then tap on the i next to the device name. If the device supports renaming you will see an editable name field. But it must be connected, and the device must support renaming. Not all Bluetooth devices support it.
