Flex Time Accordion Warping like Pro Tools

Can Logic do accordion style warping like ProTools or Ableton Live? The issue I've been having is this, and I'll try and explain it correctly.

Lets say I have a region "X" bars long that wasn't recorded to a grid. In Logic, if I move a flex marker to the right, the region maintains it's "X" bars constraints and speeds up the track and compresses everything to the right of my flex edit. Alternately, moving a flex marker to the left does the opposite.

In ProTools or Ableton Live, moving a single flex/warp marker will adapt the clip/region boundary with respect to the movement of the marker. eg, as i move a marker to the right, EVERYTHING moves to the right and maintains it's original tempo, including the end of the region/clip. What ends up happening, is the more little flex increments I move to the right, the faster the entire clip becomes, and not longer.

Can I make Logic warp audio like ProTools? I would ideally like to time align a project all in the same DAW, instead of timing in ProTools, and importing the track into Logic.

Thank you in advance.

Thank you so much for taking the time to answer my question, and for including the link. This has answered my question, as Apple Support states: "The boundaries within which this is done are determined by the preceding

and following flex markers, or the region start and end positions if

there are no preceding and following flex markers."

That is the issue I am facing, is that *the boundries are determined by the region start and end position*, which is FIXED. If a drummer speeds up the tempo, and I want to lock it to a grid to slow it down, as I keep adding flex markers to the downbeats, it will compress everything to the right in the track and increase the speed more and more because the end of the region is fixed, acting like a spring. In ProTools and other DAWs, the end of the region is not "fixed", so it will shorten or lengthen in proportion to the positioning of the last flex marker. I hope that makes sense. This is what I thought Logic did, and was hoping that there was a parameter I needed to change or a box I had to uncheck so I could expand or contract the end of the region in proportion to the last flex marker.

Short answer: Yes... and more. I don't have the time to explain the process in details but here in a nutshell the principles:

Most Flex Time operations are based on 3 (Three) flex markers. This is key!

Left and right markers act as the boundaries of the flex operation

You create and adjust markers in order to limit the effect of a flex operation within a region.

Hope that makes sense.
