My husband slept with his AirPods Pro one night and woke up to the right side sounds blown out, he is still able to hear music from it but it sounds staticky. What do I do?

This is a VERY common issue with the Right AirPod Pro that was not caused by your husband falling asleep with them in his ears. I have replaced my right Pod twice so far for this issue. You must call Apple Support (1-800-my-Apple) to have it replaced. They will require a $97 hold on a credit card but will have a replacement sent within 24 hours. I have been told by my support rep that Apple's engineering knows of the problem but do not yet have a cause or solution identified.
Buy a replacement one from Apple?
How do I do that? Buy a complete new one?
