I'm trying to use Boot Camp Assistant to install Windows 10 on my IMAC (Catalina). It keeps getting stuck at partitioning disk (not unresponsive, just not progressing). Any solution please?

which one should I be using to create the partition?
problem is I have that 'free space' thing that i cant seem to delete as well

Do not quit GDisk, but post a screen shot of the session, before we go further.

We do not want to remove your APFS Container. Type q (without making any changes) and quit Gdisk. We need to remove the entry on Disk1, not Disk0.

oh ok. I did this and seems like 2 is gone
however I can still see it in disk utility

it does have a fusion drive!!
Do you get any errors if you type in the first line
sudo gdisk /dev/disk0
Nice! We now have a choice, either we let the entry with index 3 remain at 3, or delete it and recreate it at index 2. This is why you are still in the GDisk utility.
