Numbers no longer tracks silver and gold spot prices?

For some reason, numbers is no longer tracking silver and gold spot prices.

I should be able to use =CURRENCY(“XAG”,”USD”) to get silver spot price to appear. However, it’s giving me a number that is roughly $2.00 below that amount. A similar problem is appear for XAU, which is the symbol for gold spot price. I’ve looked at other options, like =STOCK(“SI=F”) but that’s basically useless because that’s silver futures and not spot price.

Is numbers broke? It seems like it’s a source error.

as far as I can tell, Numbers takes its data from Yahoo finance. Yahoo finance, dropped support for spot price of silver in 2018ish. As a result, it permanently tells you the spot price is $15.22. Despite this having been broken since 2018, Apple and Yahoo have not bothered to fix it.
