Charger won’t fit in all the way

Get a bright light and a sharp tool (plastic preferred to metal, but in a pinch use a paperclip). Look into the port and clean out any dirt you see in it. If you see bent pins your phone needs to be repaired, but that’s a rare occurrence unless you have been using cheap un-approved cables.

I understand from your question that your charger will not fit into the charging port all of the way. I can certainly help you with this!

I would reach out to Apple Support and get support. There very well could be something stuck in your port that needs to come out.
