I got a email gift card for mothers day this year from my son, I clicked redeem but never bought anything..where did that money go? Today I tried to use it and it said it was already redeemed even though I didn't use it the first time and it isn't showing up on my balance. What do I do now? I assumed it would always be in my account and it's only been 2 weeks since I got it

If you redeemed it, then it will be on the Apple ID you was logged in at the time, it won't go anywhere, you can only redeem it once.
Last week it did show up but this week I upgraded to Catalina and it's not there
