receiving text messages on Ipad

how do I receive my iphone text messages on my ipad, which has wifi but not wireless? also, I signed in to the messages app using an apple id that is not linked to a usable email address. How do I change the apple id that messages uses? the app has absolutely nowhere to change settings or anything.
