MacBook not charging!

yesterday I noticed my MacBook wasn’t charging, it gets down to about 4% and stays at that percentage when plugged in, doesn’t go up. It fixed itself this morning when I restarted the laptop, but it’s doing it again now and restarting isn’t helping. Is there anything that can be done without sending it away to be fixed?
