How do I get my appletv Menu to display for a software update

Hello,

Are you certain its an Apple TV (1st generation) (big white hot box)? This device was obsoleted over a decade ago and has not received an update in over 13 years.

If it it's a small black box instead then it's a 2nd gen. However, that has also since been classified as obsolete and it's last update was back in 2014.

Look in the Preferences and look under System.
