I'm using the new iPhone SE and when I send a photo in messages it shows up as an icon on the receiver side. They can send photos to me though. What should I do? Also I notice the text to this person is green but it's blue to another person. What does green mean?

In Settings>Messages, is MMS Messaging turned on?

Are you sending messages to an Android user?
Green messages are SMS. These cannot show you the "read" receipt.

Yes he’s an android user but he used to get my photos when I sent them on the iPhone 5. Now he can’t see the photos. I have sms turned on
He just sees an icon where the photo should be
Yes it’s turned on
Photos in messages are not being seen on the reciever end an the text is green, not blue
