HI there, I need help with this. I need to Time lapse my screen. How can I do that? I have tried with iMovie but my version doesn't recognise the extension I recorded with Quick Player. Tks in advance

I'm still not clear as to the procedure that you followed. However, if the problem is that iMovie doesn't recognize the extension, use the free download, Handbrake, to convert to Mp4/AAC (that will give you a Mp4 extension) and then import into iMovie 10.

Would be a good idea to work with a duplicate so that you preserve your original in case you don't like the results.

I'm not clear as to what procedure you are following. Can you provide more details as to what you did and what format extension that iMovie isn't recognizing.
Normally to create a time lapse with iMovie 10 you would import the photos that you want at 0.1 duration, separated by, say, 10 frames. Then you export that as a movie and import back in to adjust the speed. It would be nice if iMovie 10 could export a photo sequence of a movie, like iMovie 6 could, but no luck.
I believe that you also can export as a movie a time lapse taken by iPhone, and import the time lapse movie into iMovie.

Thank you Rich. Filming my screen from my phone doesn't look professional. Thats why I wanted to do the time lapse straight from the screen.
