Deleted Reminders

I've seen that this happened with a previous update but Apple deleted my to do list on reminders, all my other lists are still there. How do I get them back. They are not on my phone, desktop or in Cloud!!! I had a long list to do today and only remember some items!!!!!! This is not acceptable! I don't trust the reminder app now and will have to find another app, but in the meantime, it would be nice to get that list back!
