Iphone 8 plus shutter sound / camera sound

So I recently I got an iphone 8 plus and switched my phone onto silent mode to turn off noise, however the shutter sound still goes off in apps such as snapchat and twitter when I take a picture.

On the actual camera app it doesn't make this sound but instead makes a little 'ding' sound after a picture is taken.

I've heard disabling shutter sounds doesn't work in some countries but I live in the UK so I don't think it's that.

I can't find any way to turn off this sound and I have tried restarting my phone, switching to and from silent mode, using airpods - nothing has worked.

Does anyone have a solution to this?
