iOS Files.

My MacBook is using over 82GB of storage for iOS Files. When I click "Manage..." it gives me the option to "Permanently erase device backups and software updates to free up storage space." What backups does this entail? Will I lose my pictures?

You should not be deleting your backups as they contain the following -- What does iCloud back up? - Apple Support.
