New iPad mini 5, lighting adapter, m audio midi. iPad says the midi requires too much power? What is the fix? Thanks.

I have a brand new iPad mini 5. I bought the lighting adapter that was recommended by several sites, although it does say it’s for camera. I plug my m Audio midi (for recording into GarageBand) into the usb and it comes up on the iPad but it say it can’t run it because the midi requires too much power. So what can I do to fix this? Thanks!

Hello,

Are you using this exact adapter? Apple’s Lightning to USB 3 Adapter

This is the ability to connect iPad’s charger to the adapter which will supply more power to the connected accessory.
