What is Prevent Cross Tracking do in the preference page ? And should I keep it what it is set on see my screen shot ?

It makes an attempt at preventing rogue JavaScript loaded into a web site from hijacking a session you have established with another website, like you bank.
Yes, you should keep it enabled.
