Calorie counting is not accurate when I use my elliptical machine and watch?

Why is there such a wide calories burned varience doing the same exercise for the smae number of minutes on a day to day basis. vaience can be 200 calories or more. I do an indoor elliptical for exercise. The calories burned according to the apple watch varies widely-sometimes 200 calories or more for the same exercise and the same time frame. Today’s calorie count was 279 and yesterday’s was 534. I don’t understand why there is such a big difference for doing the same thing. is there something I can do to improve the accuracy of the Watch in regards to calories burned for an indoor exercise?

calorie tracking off Hi, since The last upgrade of the watch the calorie tracking seems to be totally off. When I previously burned 500 to 600 cal in an hour I now do 350 to 420. The fitness machine in (elliptical) is recording 600to 700 an hour. How can I fix this?

Are you using the elliptical workout?

The information reported by the machine and your Apple Watch will never match perfectly, they each have different ways of calculating information and there's no way for them to communicate unless your machine supports GymKit.
