Home button bug

My home button on my 6S began acting weird today. The fingerprint and button still work. The Button just doesn’t bring me to the home screen on one click. Two clicks still opens the app switcher, and a long press starts Siri. I also tried using the assistive touch home button, and that doesn’t work either. At first, my phone wouldn’t unlock, but that’s working fine now. Not sure what I should do?

home button on iphone 5s does not function in spite of pressing screen does not change My wife has a iphone 5s. The home button does not respond any more. She is using button on the top right hand to navigate! Anything to do with settings?

my phone died last night and now it’s working fine.
