Windows 7 install on MacBook 4,1
Hi,
I have an early 2008 MacBook 4,1. It’s got 10.7.5 OS and works perfectly fine except for the SuperDrive.
I have been trying to install Win7 on it since couple of days and have read through most of the available information. I see that the 64bit Kernel is shown as No, so have been trying the 32bit Win7.
After the boot camp partitions the drive, the screen goes to flashing Apple, no entry, question mark in a folder sequence.
what am I doing wrong?
things I did
- load win7 iso on usb via boot camp assistant
- download level 4 boot camp windows support software and load into the wininstall usb.
- Use boot camp assistant to install win7.
- partitions drive->restarts Mac->white screen->flashing Apple/no entry
I use a 16g USB drive to load the windows iso
MAc OS is up to date.
thanks for your help and apologies if I missed any earlier support pages.
