Preview window in mail app is gone and I cant get it back

Hover the cursor over the right edge of the Mail window until you see a left pointing arrow cursor. Click and drag the cursor to the left until the preview pane pops open. You have to drag it at least half the width of the window.

thanks! got preview on the side but still can't get it back to being below my messages like i am used to :(

You're welcome. Unchecking "Show Side Preview" from the View menu should fix that.

thought so, tried that but no preview pane appears below. restarted but no change. happy to at least have side pane though....

NVM, same as side preview, i had to drag it up to see it. duh. thanks again mate!
