Apple Watch Series 5 Unpairing

I have a Apple Watch Series 5 and an iPhone 11 and in the last week or so (since the last update) my watch disconnects from my phone's bluetooth. At first I thought it was when I took off my watch to charge it, but now it seems to do it at random intervals with no discernable reason. Any input would be greatly appreciated.
