If you buy a Apple Watch with gps and data do you have to enable the data or can you just use the gps/WiFi? I plan on setting up the data eventually but not right away

Apple Watch Cellular vs. GPS I am currently looking to purchase the series 7 apple watch. This is going to be my first ever apple watch. I am just stuck on which one to get, I want the GPS one as I don't have the money to pay extra monthly for cellular. BUT I was wondering.. I always have my phone with me so would I still be able to make calls or send messages through the watch when my phone is with me? Apple Watch resetting to New York and Cupertino All I just got a new iPhone 14 pro and synced it to my Apple Watch 6. Most apps work fine but the weather keeps resetting to New York and Cupertino instead of about 20 other cities on my iPhone. Both devices are on their latest os versions and I restarted both number of times. I also unpaired and paired it. I tried Apple support but they were clueless. I also deleted NY and Cupertino from my watch but they keep reappearing The weather app worked fine on my old iPhone 8. The cities show fine in my Apple Watch app on iPhone, just not on my Apple Watch. Anybody knows the fix? Thanks

Why won’t my stand alone watch connect to Wi-Fi? Anyone else have a problem connecting a stand alone watch to Wi-Fi calling?

No you can activate the cellular part of the watch at a later date.
