Unable to reboot my MacBook Pro running Catalina, need help badly
MacBook Pro 15″, macOS 10.15
Nothing, I get the bar and it goes to the end and stops, sits there for hours, that’s on the Apple screen so it never completes the process. I’ve tried to power down and backup while holding the shift key, same problem, I’ve tried powering down by holding the control shift and command keys then powering back up, same problem
So I’m now reloading Catalina, now back to what I was originally trying to do which was to drive 3 displays off my Mac, I purchased a Startech doc to connect the displays but apparently one of the DisplayLink drivers has an issue, is there a better device or a better way of doing this? Thanks so much for all your help
What happens?
How about Recovery? Cmd-R About macOS Recovery - Apple Support
If it boots, run Disk Utility and First Aid on the disk.
You’re a genius it started, now I will try disk utility as you suggested since that shows in the pop up box
I have no idea how to do that.
