iPhone: Clearing Safari History Doesn't Delete a Google Search Queue

Google Search Queues Never Disappear:

On iPhone, in Google, I keep having to delete each search queue one at a time. It's been this way for years - should it be that way? It is only deleted when pressing the "X" next to the search queue.

Any Thoughts? It's always been that way, for me

clearing safari history will clear google search history if you are not signed into your google account.

If you are signed in you need to click on your google account icon and pause or delete your search activity. Google saves it.

The screenshot you supply isn’t safari, and any other browser app will not clear it’s history if you specifically clear safari’s history, for example the Google app doesn’t care if you have your search history cleared with safari because they are two different things, like Peter said, if you don’t have a google account then it should clear on safari ONLY, if you have a google account and want to clear the history, on the google app then go to Account > data & personalization > my activity. You should be able to find your search history there.

there probably is an easier way that someone will show you, if you want to know an easier way then just look it up.

another way is to just hit X, it isn’t that hard to be completely honest

In this case, this has nothing to do with using a Google Account. Searching on this device, it just stays there. It does not delete, unless I click the "X".

Some Notes - History Doesn't Go Away:

I don't have a Google Account. Having this iPhone for more than half a decade, I've probably searched Google [quite a bit] alone. Deleting the history of Safari, these search queues just don't go away, annoying though it is.

Back in days of PDAs, it wouldn't clear the search queues either. So, I'm thinking it has something to do with Mobile Devices.

Let's face it - Google saves your searches, on a Google Account? Seems to be a privacy concern. But, I don't have a Google account. So, I did not know that. Clearing Temporary Intern Files on Safari right now: duckduckgo.com and bing.com - it all disappears. But, Google does not.

But, use a Private Tab, and nothing is remembered. It just goes away and is delete.

How do I rid of these search queues on Google, rather than using a Private Tab ? I just don't know?

It looks like you're using a VPN or something similar? Are you using the same VPN on both devices? If so, does the VPN app offer any kind of cache-clearing?

No VPN Usage Ever on these Devices:

As for the Pocket PC (an ancient 2001 device), it no longer can use Google, being they(Google) made it inaccessible to Compaq and HP Pocket PC PDAs. Searching on it was fine - no ads or second-guessed search queues - but everything had to be deleted manually. DuckDuckGo.com and Bing are fine on all my devices - it all goes away.

The iPad 2 of mine does have this issue, and so does my iPad 3.

Maybe using a newer device would solve this? If I may ask, which device do you use? Is it iOS13 Compatible? Do the Google search queues go away when you clear the cookies and cache?
