ipad 2020 frozen split screen

I have an issue with my new ipad pro 2020. one side of the split screen is frozen and I cannot force it to shut down and restart it as well? what do i do next?

You can try a force restart. This will not affect any data that you have saved on your iPad. Seeing how you stated it’s an iPad Pro 2020, there is no home button. What you will have to do is press and release the volume up button, then press and release the volume down button. Immediately after doing that press and hold the power button. Ignore the slider that will show up to power down you iPad and continue to hold the power button. Once your device shuts down and you get the Apple Logo back on the screen, you can then release the power button. At this point, let the iPad continue to load like normal. That should correct your issue with your iPad being frozen.
