A Few Thoughts:

For Reference: Using a Bluetooth mouse, keyboard, or trackpad with your Mac - Apple Support

Answer 1:

Use This: Apple USB-C Digital AV Multiport Adapter - Apple - Your would plug your TV into the HDMI port, while sill having the USB-C adapter for power. As for the TV - I use a small project - and I project it right up to the wall - looks Nice and Big.

Answer 2:

Use This: Magic Keyboard with Numeric Keypad - Silver - Apple - Select the Language it suits your needs. But, if that is too much in cost, then a third-party one might just work. Logitech makes many - be certain it is compatible with your macOS.

Thanks, Bob.

My requirements are minimal, using Word, or similar. Even the one I just bought for my wife will do.

She complains that she can not see the power button, (true, under the bottom edge, best seen with monitor upside down!).

The refresh rate, size, heat generation, color rendition are all fine!

I may buy one with buttons in front and give it to my wife.

Now that I have the magic mouse the key board can wait. Once the health scare mitigates, I plan to go to an Apple Store and have my Mac Book Pro checked out. Some keys keep repeating. Eg., One e becomes a string of eeee. Chat with Apple support suggested taking it to a store. No rush. I have Apple care plus too! I hope to make that trip before the second wave!!

Stay safe, where ver you are, and have a nice day.

Thank you for the helpful suggestion.

2. I tried a (cheap) good keyboard mouse combo I had bought for my wife to use with her Surface Pro and acer led monitor.

That combo works great.

I tried that with my MBC

The monitor looked great and the mouse worked well. The keyboard was not detected by the Mac Book Pro.

I am a little confused here. Why did that mouse which is wireless USB work with My MBC but the Keyboard did not work.

1. Monitor. I may just get this acer. Quite cheap. But for word processing this will do.

Thanks again

Raj

There are hundreds of options. Instead of us going thorough the list why don't you decide what your requirements are then search for a monitor that meets your needs. Some of your needs may be weight, portability, refresh rate, resolution, brightness, connections, builtin drives, extend-ability, power requirements, installation, viewing angle, stands, wall mounts, ...

Keyboard/Mouse: Need Synchronization:

Touch and hold down on the synchronization button. It should notice it nice and fast, and prompting you if you want to use it.

Projector Use:

As for the word “project” it was a mistype for “projector”. My little Brookstone projector and screen was $99.99. More or less costly than a monitor, it works fine for output - no issues with 4K even. With a small projector screen (2’X3’), it’s great for watching it in your desk, or even way up on the wall.
