Unknown callers show as United States
I live in Canada. Unknown calls from within Canada show as United States. My setting already is set for Canada. Is there a fix for this?

Hi there Kdel1957,
Thanks for the post. If I understand correctly, you're seeing that unknown calls from Canada show as originating from the United States. Is that right?
For clarification, does this happen with every unknown call you receive?
Do you ever see similar behavior with people in your contacts list as well?
As a start, try updating your device and your carrier settings:
How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch
Update your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
Update your carrier settings on your iPhone or iPad
If that doesn't help, double-check Settings > General > Language & Region to make sure this is set correctly.
If the issue persists, use this to Contact Apple Support next.
Take care.
Hello Kdel1957,
We appreciate the updated information! Based on what's happening, I recommend getting in touch with Apple using this link to further look into the issue: Contact Apple Support
Kind regards.
There’s at least one other thread on this topic.
Best guess is a configuration error in the telephone network.
I scrolled through my recent calls and it looks like the numbers that are affected have the province of Saskatchewan 306 area code. Any 1-800 type numbers do not show United States. I just updated my phone yesterday and my carrier and region are correct.
