I have the older version SE and it works well with TracFone However I want to purchase the new veersion and use it with TracFone but they are telling me it will not work. Has anyone got the newer SE to work with TracFone?-thanks

TracFone is under no obligation to allow you to bring your own phone to their network.
Even if it's physically compatible, they can prevent you from activating it on their network.
If they told you it won't work, either switch carriers, or buy one from them that you know will work.

In your first post, you said they told you it wouldn't work. So, what do you mean? Did they tell you it wouldn't work? Or did they not give you an answer?
I spoke to two diferent reps-the first one said it would not work and the second one told me I would need a sim card that works with the Verizon network-so he says it will work and I do have the sim kit from TracFone so that is why I was hoping someone was trying the same thing-thanks fro your help so far and hope this clears up what I am trying to do...

If you buy the phone from Apple, you do have 14 days to return it if it doesn't work.
