Can I delete .css files?

Hi, I went to my home then pictures then 1982_files which were all dated 7/13/19 and contained Javascript files, Png files and Style sheet (CSS files) I don't need. I must have put these all in a file at one time but I don't remember, it looks that way. Also when I sign into Discussions.apple.com/create/questions or other apple communities sometimes, the toolbar will blink on and off for a while until it's settled down. Any help would be appreciated.

You can do the following to free up space:

How to Free Up Space on The Hard Drive

  1. You can remove data from your Home folder except for the /Home/Library/ folder.
  2. Visit The XLab FAQs and read the FAQ on freeing up space on your hard drive.
  3. Also, see Freeing space on your Mac OS X startup disk.
  4. What is 'Other' and 'Purgeable' in About This Mac?
  5. Files That Make Up the 'Other' Storage Category, and How to Remove Them
  6. Free up storage space on your Mac.
  7. See Where did my Disk Space go?.
  8. Be sure to Empty the Trash to recover the space.
  9. Replace the drive with a larger one. Check out OWC for drives, tutorials, and toolkits.
  10. Use OmniDiskSweeper or GrandPerspective to search your drive for large files and where they are located.

Exactly, what do you need our help with? You somehow didn't include that information.

Sorry Kappy, I am running low on RAM and would like to delete as much unnecessary stuff as possible. When I came across certain files that I don't remember opening, my memory is very bad, I just want to delete anything I do not need. There is nothing behind this other than I want to clean up my MAC OS X is from late 2009 now running on High Sierra 10.13.6. I need to get a new one once this pandemic is over. I have a Laptop Pro also which is fine, newer and has a lot of space but I don't like it as much as the keyboard on my mac and the mouse. I'm just used to this. Until I can get a new Mac and transfer all my files I figures I'd try to delete as much as possible. If not advisable please let me know. Thank you
