Why does my daughters phone show up at different locations when she’s home?

Find My is not 100% accurate. There have been many times that my son and his iPhone are at home but it will show him like a mile away. Usually if you wait for it to refresh or wait a few minutes and check again it will be accurate. However, never rely on Find My iPhone to determine the exact location of the device or your child.

Inside, the location is more likely to be accurate if the phone has WiFi enabled.

Find My is really only 30% accurate, and even when I’m home, it thinks I’m at the house behind me. Nothing to worry about :)
