Option-Left/Right Arrow is not working

Hi.

I am a frequent user of Option-Left/Right Arrow to move through words. But unfortunately on my most recent MacBook this is not always working.

To be more precise, it is working after reboot but after some time it just stops. And I do not know how to bring the functionality back.

Does anyone know why this does not work and what to do about it?

can't select agree in apple terms and conditions screen I am reinstalling Mohave after wipe my 2015 macbook air and when I get to the "Terms and Conditions" screen, the "Agree" button is not highlighted/selectable.
