Apple Event: May 7th at 7 am PT
I just got my phone 5 days ago and I was on a flight trying to listen to music and I plugged in the EarPods that came with it and my phone wouldn’t recognize it blasting to the whole airplane. Tried later to get my phone to play on the EarPods and look up ways to force the phone but they just don’t recognize the EarPods that go into the charger. Is anyone else having this issues? Does anyone know how to fix it?

Check the charging port for lint or other debris and see this:
If your headphones don‘t work with your iPhone, iPad, or iPod touch
If no help, try this:
1) Open the Control Center
2) 3D press (or long press) on the music controls
3) Select the output option (little up-arrow with circles)
4) Select headphones
