Is it safe to use the iPhone/iPad USB-A to Lightning charger with the Airpods Pro case?

Hello everyone!

My Airpods Pro arrived earlier today and I realised the cable provided is a USB-C to Lightning, which I do not own the charger for.

I was wondering if It's safe to use my iPad charger, a USB-A to Lightning which I have been using for the 12W fast charge it provides to my XS over the bundled 5W, with the Airpods Pro case?
