WD MYCloud

I've un-installed WD MyCloud as it never worked properly and kept losing connection with my iMAC (2020 27" with Catalina and latest updates) but every time I start up or reboot I get a message saying 'cannot connect to WDMyCloud Server - check IP address...."

I don't want to connect - the hard drive is on a shelf and the case is in the bin!. Anyone know how do I stop the machine from trying to find it. Clearly WD hasn't "un-installed" and has left something deep in the system?
