Mouse and Keyboard Not Working.

I have a Apple Refurbished iPad Air Gen 3 and I recently bought a keyboard and mouse for it. When I was pairing the keyboard and mouse, I encountered my first mishap. The pairing was very poor, as the keyboard would take a while for my iPad to detect it. When pairing, more often or not, it would say that the keyword mouse was out of range or couldn’t connect. It would continue to do this until it said Connection Unsuccessful and forced me to forget the device and connect it again. This happened with the mouse as well. When it would pair, all the keys and functions would work as they should. After 2 minutes, the mouse and keyboard would start glitching out. When moving the mouse slightly, the cursor will move all the way to the side, then go up and down and do some other random actions, doing it in a very choppy motion and having the cursor teleport everywhere. They keyboard would not register any key input and would show the bar on the bottom that helps copy and paste. After about 10 seconds of pressing the keys the iPad would register key input, but it would not be the keys you pressed. It would be totally random. I tried to use the mouse and keyboard on my main laptop and it showed up, paired, and worked properly. Any idea on what I can do?

P.S. I tried to shut down my device and turn on and off the Bluetooth but it gave the same results.

Here's what I would try:

1) On the iPad, forget both devices.

2) Connect JUST the keyboard and see how well it works. Take note, then forget it again and pair just the mouse.

If they work well independently but not together, you may want to reach out to the manufacturers of the devices to see if they can help.

I did this with both devices and I received the same results as before.

I was skeptical that it was not the keyboard and mouse’s fault for it to not work, as they are from 2 different brands and yet they do not work. I speculated that maybe the iPad had faulty Bluetooth connectivity, but my AirPods connected flawlessly and I found no problems using them for and extended amount of time.
