Apple Watch 5 Facebook Messenger

I tried all these suggestions as well but nothing worked. I called Apple Support yesterday (June 1st) and the Rep was as helpful as possible minus the fact he didn’t use Facebook and that Facebook is a 3rd party app that Apple doesn’t work on for updates. My sister is an Apple employee as well but she wasn’t help either specially since she didn’t even know the watch series can work with messenger... guess I’ll just wait it out as well.

Almost 5 days and I’m still having the same issues. I’ve looked on Twitter and people are having these problems too , neither have working results.

The long winded workaround steps that people have detailed - delete apps from both devices, reinstall and bypass the login details DOES work but only for 10 minutes or so.

Did everyone have the problems as soon as they installed the new Apple update ?

Check that facebook and messenger apps are updated to latest version.

Force restart both iphone & apple watch. Hope this may fix the issue.

I reported a problem in messenger app settings. I think we should all do this.

Then contact Facebook. Nobody here can help you, we're all volunteers. Apple isn't here. Apple doesn't control Facebooks apps. Contact Facebook if you want a fix.

It works to reinstall both apps until my phone’s Messenger startes to ask for my phone number again. Even if I tried to change the settings...

There’s a new update from 6/4; hopefully that fixes something

Have you fully closed app on phoebe then tried to launch in watch?

everytime I force close the app on phone the error comes back

logging in is required to look at the previous comments. I can reply to on the notifications without logging in.

I have the same issue. I've reached out and did everything i could, i've even unpaired my watch and started over fresh. it was working yesterday and now it wont. it says log in from paired iphone. ive deleted the app re downloaded it both my phone and my watch.... is there a solution??? i switched from android to apple just for the watch to access messenger.... so frustrated

I have the same issue on my iwatch4. I sent a message and then a few minutes later, saw that this message popped up. There wasn’t even enough time for the watch or phone to install an update. This happened this morning May31. Frustrated! :(

I bought Apple Watch 3 and have exact same problem - I can succesfully connect messenger and and everything works fine but.... After restarting messenger on the phone I receive information about adding phone number to app and then it crashes on the watch. Tried everything with no result.

I did that before and it works for me only until you restart messenger app. During second opening I receive screen about "adding mobile phone to facebook" and in that exact moment app crashes on the watch. I can't turn that screen off before it occurs. I tried adding phone number in facebook or deleting to prevent this screen to pop up but it doesn't work.

I’m having the same problem on my series 5. Glad to seen it’s not just me but it stinks for all of us. I tried uninstalling FB and Messenger on my phone then reinstalling, logging out of all sessions, no luck.

I have tried l these and nothing happened. This is so frustrating. I’ve contacted apple through Twitter and when they weren’t able to find the solution, they sent a link to find answers on the app developers but to no avail stil. I reported it using he messenger app and I hope it fixer itself.
