iTunes does not sync with iPad Pro 2020

I can’t sync my iPad Pro 2020 with my iTunes. I have updated to the latest iTunes and Windows OS. When I connect my iPad Pro to my computer with a USB cable, the iPad is merely charging and iTunes can’t seems to detect it. Any advice?
