Blinking screen

Hi, so I got my iPad Pro 12.9” (2020) this morning from the online store, and when I switched it on the screen was blinking. As if there was a glitch. This is very irritating and shocking because this device is brand new straight from the box.

what is the solution to this problem other than taking it in for repair?

I bought this iPad from the UK and had it shipped it to Kenya. So if there is an issue that would require the iPad to be replaced would it be covered under the 1 year warranty. (The iPad is brand new, only been a month since purchased.)
