“Log in from the paired iPhone” coming up on Facebook Messenger app on Apple Watch series 4

I've been having this problem too for 2 days now. I tried uninstalling/reinstalling and restarting both my phone and watch. Still nothing :/

I have Apple Watch Series 3, newest software installed on my watch & my iPhone XR, and I have the same problem. I bought my watch a couple days ago. The first day I got my watch, I had to reinstall the app, unpair & repair my watch, reset my watch. Nothing helped. I tried the re-installing method, and it worked fine for like 10 minutes. After that, the same message comes up again. And for me, I don't see Apple Watch settings on my Messenger. It's been a couple days since I bought my watch, and this bothers me alot.

Thank you Camilla, your answer helped. I will update if the issue comes back. For reference I have an iPhone XR and Apple Watch series 5. Come to think of it this happened right after I updated to the latest software update last June 2, 2020. It’s so annoying!

Same here! I’ve done deleted off watch and phone.. I have a series 4 too! Just started happening with the log in from paired iPhone when I did the software update.. ive reset the watch everything. Still won’t work.

Is a mockery! You have to go to the tricks that use the application. After installation and authorization, I have a blocked watch when a community appears on the screen about the ability to add a phone number to improve the service. But here the parody service from this will only get WORSE!

Exactly. When you close Messenger on iPhone (for example, using the App Switcher option), the "log in form the paired iPhone" screen reappears on the Watch and there seems to be no permanent solution for this issue.

Thank you so much for this step by step guide. I had to get a new phone and kept having this error. I deleted app from phone and uninstalled watch about 3 times without fixing the problem before I found your answer. The fact that you are deleting and reinstalling individually works!!!!

My watch was working fine after I did all my steps yesterday but today is back doing the same thing log from the paired iPhone. So I did the steps again and it work but when I close the app on my phone my watch is telling me again log in from the iPhone

im having the same problem with mine. I did everything that was said on here I even reset my watch and still getting log in from paired iPhone. I have series 4. I think all this happened with the new update idk and idk how to fix it

I have same problem. I bought my watch yesterday and i am able to use messenger until i need to add my phone number, after that "log in from paired iPhone" came up again. Does anyone know what to do?

Same here. I've been doing this uninstalling and reinstalling every single day. it only works temporarily. same problem keeps coming back after few hours. this is so frustrating. I even reported this to Facebook but haven't heard anything yet from them.

Same here. Messenger used to worked perfectly on my AppleWatch, even with the app closed on iPhone. Now, all I see is the "Logged in from the paired iPhone" screen. There's been an update today, to version 268.0, but still no luck :-(
