Documents in whatsapp in ipad Not opening.

The documents in WhatsApp iPad after clicking where does it download. Unable to see the documents sent in iPad WhatsApp. Where as other types of images are opening. Pls assist.

After the update of WhatsApp on my iPhone 6s on 11 august 2021 to version 2.21.151 it no longer attach documents on WhatsApp, instead it opens another window to share instead of send at the top right corner where the send button is supposed to be. Downloads not getting saved I am not able to download files sent to me on mail, or whatsapp etc. On clicking the download button, I get a message "file dowloaded" but it is neither clickable nor can I find it in downloads folder.
