ipod touch model A 1421 is stuck on the Apple logo, displays a solid colour or isn't recognised in iTunes/ keeps resetting once logo appears, black screen white logo, how can i restore or get back to normal?

Thanks, none of that document works on my device, one issue is the Home button doesnt work , i have tried to drain battery but it doesnt seem to work, it keeps only showing the apple logo then goes blank screen and once i hit the power button same thing again...
