Family Sharing - Screentime passcode reset

According to apple's documentation, after version 13.4, if I've clicked on "change passcode", under a family sharing member, it should authenticate using Face ID or my own apple ID. It does neither.

Any thoughts on how I can get this to "trigger"?

(I understand I can wipe my phone clean, but since it's just my kids screentime, I would prefer not to go that route since Apple now says that is no longer necessary.)

Thanks in advance

If you followed the steps provided in this article:--> If you forgot your Screen Time passcode - Apple Support you might need to follow the instructions under section "How to reset the Screen Time passcode for your child's device", where, at point 4 it says: Tap Change Screen Time Passcode, then tap Change Screen Time Passcode again. You might be asked to authenticate with Face ID, Touch ID, or your device passcode (not the Apple ID).

Restart both devices and try again.

If you still can't do that, contact Apple Support using this link:--> Get Support
