iPhone 11 Pro - Size of backup

Hi,

How come that a backup of an iPhone 11 Pro has become so large, that it cannot fit in a free 5 GB iCloud account, though ALL apps, photos (and everything else) are excluded from being backed up?

It has never been an issue before with my earlier iPhones.

It’s not really a cheap phone, and now I have to pay every month for an iCloud upgrade, just so I can backup my phone? That fact makes me seriously concider an alternative phone next time.
