What is the pressure sensitivity levels of the newest Apple Pencil?

I have been wanting to both get a laptop and get a surface drawing tablet for a few years now. I was originally considering getting the Microsoft Surface Book 2 as the pen has 4,096 pressure points and is very sensitive and responsive.

I was looking for information on how many pressure points the Apple pencil has but I couldn't find anything. However, my artist friend highly recommended the iPad Pro and newest Apple pencil, saying it is very sensitive and responsive.

I just wanted to know if anyone has information on the pressure sensitivity of the Apple pencil and artists, do you like using the iPad Pro? How does it stack up against other tablets you've used, both regular and surface drawing tablets.
