iCloud photos not on my device

Hi. I got a new phone today and have set it up using quick start with my old phone. Everything is exactly the same as my old phone except my photos. There’s only a few hundred when I actually have thousands.

I have logged into my iCloud via Safari and all my photos are there in my iCloud just not on my new phone?

Could you please tell me how I get all my iCloud photos onto my new phone?

Thanks in advance :)

Crystal.

Make sure the device is plugged in and connected to WiFi in order for the photos to sync, and duding by what you've said, it sounds like it may a while to sync.
