Wondering why you can’t use the find my AirPods to find my AirPods in the case?

i’m really wondering why you can’t use the find my airpods to find my airpods IN THE CASE. it’s the only time i actually n e e d to use the feature, and it’s not helpful at all. the only thing i can do is to just look for them. but i have absolutely no idea where to look, and i can’t play a sound through the case, why?

Because airpods use Bluetooth to connect to your phone.

Once they are in the case, they are turned off.

If they aren't connected to the phone, you can't track them.
