3rd generation AirPods Pro say "multiple locations" in Find My

My AirPods are in the case, but I can't find them. The Find My app says "multiple locations" but doesn't show anything on the map. When I say "Play Sound" it says "Connecting..." then "Sound Pending" but it never connects.

Is there a way to see the last place the AirPods were seen?
